Hey everyone,

So I bought a very neglected but basically brand new 13 year old Ninja 650 a year ago, and then I got started on doing everything I needed to do to "restore" this bike to new-again condition, and making some how to articles/videos along the way.

Posting this because, as you guys probably guessed, 400 and Ninja 650 were, for a long time, pretty close siblings, so I thought some of what I've learned/done along the way might be helpful to you guys :)

Episode 1: Poopoo Problems. I get the bike home with only 200 miles on it, start inspecting it, and already find an unexpected surprise.

Episode 2: Alarm and Vapor Lock. I find the Ninja has an alarm system to bypass, and other issues to fix to make the bike start and run.

Episode 3: Getting the Old Gas Out. A quick video on how to siphon a motorcycle gas tank for those who don't want to actually take off the tank.

Episode 4: Changing the Oil & Filter. Showing you how to do an oil change on a Kawasaki Ninja 650R, including what tools, oil, filter, and torque specs to use. Note: I used the 650 factory service manual and this may be different for the 400. If anyone has a 400 and is in the Toronto area bring it over and we'll wrench on it :)

Wow. Talk about blast from the past.

I think the issues faced are pretty well documented. Old gas, mystery security system, etc. It's all there.
