I will use this thread to tell everyone when I update the blog.Basically I do Land Speed Racing. I am trying to build the worlds fastest Ninja. So read along if you care to . And please comment is you want Thanks

If you are trying to build the "worlds fastest Ninja", don't start with a 250.

LOL I mean fastest 250 ninja . The worlds fastest ninja zx12r and fastest nitrous bike is owned by Shiphty team RNR cycles @.229 mph in Maine. I don't think my 250 will go that fast .But don't tell the bike that.

Not to argue the point but as everyone knows, the speedometer on our bikes reads faster than you are actualy going.

Would a 250 streamliner be in its own class?

I had a prof. in college that was making a 250cc streamliner, and using a glider fuselage. He wanted to go to Bonneville, not sure if he ever did.

Edit: Guess he did, but it was 125cc (must have switched at some point, because I'm almost certain I saw the 250 in there at one point).

The top speed of a ninja 250 is 121 at Bonneville. That same bike went 113 at Maxton.
It is a turbo and it is in the altered class.

The next in line is a Nitrous bike that went 119 at Maxton . It went 111 all motor. And there are a few passes under 113 that where not record passes .

110 mph measured to 1000 of a second . My top speed is 110.37152 mph.
Figure in 10% error in the stock speedo . You need to get the speedo to 121 on flat ground in a mile .
This is a 50 cc two stroke with a streamlined body . Going 150 mph with maybe 20 hp

Im sure its not a great record but a guy was acting all hot rod with his chevy equinox the other day and I just had to give it to him. Passed him going 110mph according to my guage. Its an equinox wtf was he thinking he was driving?

While this is up. Look for an update this weekend. Shifteey is going to help me out with some dyno time I have the bike all ready to test . I will update the blog Sunday .I hope I don't have to give a weather report about snow.

Dang Eric, hope you get it sorted out. Guess you can try your luck on ebay and look for a used trans vs an entire motor and see whats floating around out there. Let me know if I can help you out in any way. Mine won't be ready for the dyno for at least another week...waiting on gaskets.

things are starting to happen
Once I get my trans back in its back to the dyno . Then the 1/4 mile all in the next 5 weeks . Maxton is April 9-10 so the pressure is on

Wow that kind of stinks. I had that happen to my Subaru, but it was just idling in my driveway before leaving for a race.

Trans is better than new and the bike is done. Ready to race.

The Van is all loaded and I am leaving tomorrow to go to Maxton North Carolina. I like to get there a day early to help clean up the track and get things ready.

This is the First meet of the season and the HOT ROD Magazine Fastest street car shoot out. With the perfect weather forecast it should be a wild time.There are 70 cars and 45 bikes registered I will take photos and videos on Friday and IF I can get my teather to work through my cell phone I will post up some photos early.

I will be trying to push my bike faster than the 110.371 top speed I currently have. The 14 sec quarter mile has my hopes high. But I know how difficult it is to make a perfect pass. So all I hope to do is get a few passes in and see what happens.It is early in the season .everything is set up the best I can . I have a dozen things I can adjust ,but I wont know what it needs till I get there.

I'll give you a call friday afternoon to see how it went.

Call me Sunday evening.I will be driving back home .Friday is tech inspection and a Dinner party.

I ran 109.7 mph on a 104 mph record.bumping the Modified Partial streamlined blown gas 250 four stroke record up some.

Other top speeds where 115 mph for an altered 250 four stroke.

and an all time fastest speed of a sit on motorcycle anywhere 272 mph! in a standing mile.

Eric, not bad. It isn't easy for a big guy to go fast on a little bike. We will put my 250 on the dyno in a little while and see what its got. I plan on bringing it to Maxton in May. It will look different.

It is History in the making. To see a 272 mph pass .The fastest sit on motorcycle EVER ANYWHERE is amazing. And it only cost 10 bucks for front row seats.

I will be there with everyone else trying to go as fast as we can. My personal best from 2008 is 110.3 I want to better that .And I know Shiphteey wants to go better than 112.7 SO it is hot competition among the best people anywhere . Next weekend .

Well Round two is next weekend May 22-23
If you are in the Maxton Laurenburg area of North Carolina .The fastest cars and bikes on earth are going at top speed again.It is history in the making and an amazing thing to see bikes going over 250 mph .

Basically two teams broke the track record of 261mph last month . One team went 264 then Bill Shocked the world with a 272 pass.
272 mph is the fastest speed of a two wheel sit on motorcycle anywhere.
Next weekend they will be back at it .Trying to better there speeds.

As will the rest of us. I will be trying to better my personal best from 09 a speed of 110.3 mph .And I am sure Shiphteey will be trying to better his 112.7 mph speed.

So there is hot competition amongst the best people anywhere.Come on by and say hi.

The next race is in ten days. It should be fun
It is always hot in North Carolina .I will be sitting on a 198 deg motorcycle in full black leather and a black helmet for 12 hours with mid day temp around 115 in the shade.Only there is no shade. Trying to break another land speed record.
Come on out if you can take the heat. Check out the blog for details about the new setup.

Maxton in June was HOT . heat index of 111 deg . No shade. 14 hours in the sun . But I got 22 runs. I tried everything to get faster. But after the heat came in Saturday morning there was no hope.
I did have time to break the Modified partial streamline 350 four stroke record. It was 106.250 mph and I was able to get a 112.307mph personal best.

Now I have off till September . Time to go drag racing and try for a 13 sec 1/4 mile.

Well back at it for the final part of the season at Maxton s monster mile I am in 9th place in the points Championship and set four land speed records .I need to go as fast as I can to stay in good standing.

I have made numerous changes to the bike since the run in June where I went 112.3 MPH in the heat with a number of little problems. Now I have spent 3 months addressing most of the problems associated with just making a clean run .Not necessarily to make the bike go faster. For that I have teamed up with a company called Boss Noss. They make a revolutionary nitrous system that I have tuned for a 250cc engine.

I hope it will work .I am just beginning the testing part in the development of nitrous system for the engine.

I know I can get a lot more out of it. Acording to the data logger I was totally slippibg the clutch .And very fat on mixture. So I am going to rebuild and try again in four weeks.

The mix with the nitrous was great .I like it a bit rich .I just went wrong with the timing . My new clutch is from Barnett and springs should hold. As for mixture .I am going with methanol to cool the mix down .

It is going to be a 250cc four stroke shoot out. My bike and the altered 250 Honda .Both spraying massive shots of nitrous ..I am going for a 30 hp shoot of nitrous and methanol with the Boss Noss system. I went 121.845 mph last month with a slipping clutch That made my bike the fastest 250 ninja .But the second fastest 250 four stroke . . The Honda went 126 mph last month . And is brining more.

I have a new tank better body position and a new engine to try to make the 250 Ninja the fastest 250 four stroke in Land speed racing.


Also NEWS FLASH. Bill Warner . Went 278 mph !!!! on a turbo Hyabusa in Texas yesterday, That is a fantastic speed . The Texas mile is very bad . Short 1/2 mile to stop had him in the dirt at the end. The cross winds are so bad a turbo Lamborghini flipped after pulling his parachute., SO you can imagine going close to 300 mph under those conditions.

Any how He may be at Maxton this weekend .I hope so.

If you are on the Maxton Laurenburg North Carolina area stop by the cars and bikes are wild and the people are VERY friendly.

The season is over. I could not get my engine to run properly,There is some damage I could not fix at the track. I did make a slow pass and the engine let go half way .
But the shoot out was great . Lots of 250cc competition going on.

The new top speed for a ninja 250 is 122 mph set by Shifteey Team RnR Cycles. A big congrats to him .I know he worked hard to get that speed from his first gen 250 .

The fastest 250 four stroke still belongs to Team Moto Madcap ,The altered Honda. with a top speed of 126 in September.
Best top speed of an all motor ninja is 117 and Moto Madcap also has a 117 all motor speed.

So for 2010
I go a personal best of speed of 121.845 mph in September.I finished in the top ten in the points championship .and set all the 350cc four stroke records. All together I broke or set 13 records in 2010.

Next year is only five months away. I will be ready .
