B'you'zuh? 'Busa is short for "Hyabusa."

Saw this the other day, due to wanting a 2005-2008 R1 but not ready for that much bike yet. When I saw the Busa pass the R1 I knew I wanted a Busa one day in about 8 or 9 years when I'll hopefully be ready for one. Right now I'm just going to enjoy my 250.

Why do people feel they need a 200mph cycle on the public roads? To say it simply, that is just plain stupid! What the 135mph that almost any multicylinder 600cc road bike will give you isn't enough? On the track you would be much better served by a GSXR1000.

It's not the fact I that I want to go 200mph on public roads, I don't I just thing the R1 looks and rides good. I rode my friends and loved the way it road, I rode it around the block in my neighborhood a few times and the throttle was touchy the friend of the bike kept wanting to come up at the slightest pull. That's why I think it is to much bike for me right now. Trust me I'm an EMT and have seen first hand what going 200 mph will do to someone. The R1 is a great overall bike and a great track bike. My friend obeys the speed limit on the streets but loves taking it to the track.

I would still say that a good GSXR 1000 or 750 would make a better track bike than a Busa.

Yeah they would the Busa is made to be a drag bike and not a track bike. I have been thinking that once I have the money getting a used GSXR 750 or a ninja zx-6r, but I have been going through phases where I don't want a supersport and instead have been wanting the 2009 gsx650f or 2009 ninja 650r. The insurance would be lower on those bikes than a super sport and they have plenty of power and could be used for an occasional track day for fun. I'm not much into getting into actual racing. If I do I'll race my ninja 250r because I know for sure no matter what I'm keeping it. I could just turn it into a track bike.

Sorry...but that R1 was definitely NOT doing 190.....more like maybe 160 if that.
If he was doing 190, he would pass a mile marker every 19 seconds....

he probably was doin 190mph, u get a straight enough stretch road it can be done. that busa was probably heavily modified and thats why it flew by at 230-250mph. anythings possible with enough $$$$

I still bet that both riders about shiiit themselves when the R1 moved over to the right lane just as Busaboy was passing him.

That just did not look to be 190mph, looked like he was cruisin' down the highway at 120, maybe 130. I really can't be sure, as I have never been anywhere near 190 in any vehicle.

maybe 220. at 250 I have only seen three busa's do it and it was in LSR. (personally seen)


I do like how the R1 moved over to let the guy pass. At that speed do not change lanes. It could have been ugly.

First time i saw that video my jaw dropped in awe haha I think thats a little too fast for me, the ninjette is plenty fast....for now.

Not 190mph. When the R1 passed that other car it would have looked like he literally FLEW by. I mean he passed him going a decent speed but if the car was doing 90 it would have looked like the R1 passed at 100mph...no way jose. I agree...maybe 120-130. Still stupid though on public roads and they both almost died

That R1 was not going anywhere near 190 mph.
