CC Cowboy March 31st, 2010, 07:38 AM I'm not sure I should post this at this time of year when everyone is still in the spring fever mode. I'd like to add that this is not to be imitated on the street and this rider is a professional.

I guess Ben Spies' style is rubbing off on the less fortunate.
mikedabike64 March 31st, 2010, 07:44 AM scary thing is he's most likely going faster there then most of us would ride in a straight line. ill pass on the imitation too.
Flashmonkey March 31st, 2010, 07:46 AM I'd like to add that this is not to be imitated on the street and this rider is a professional.
Especially the part where he's looking down at the road during the turn. Damn Rossi.....
CC Cowboy March 31st, 2010, 08:18 AM Especially the part where he's looking down at the road during the turn. Damn Rossi.....
Rossi has a completely different style of cornering. When asked about where he looks he stated he looks down through a corner and not down the track. I can't argue with a guy who is the best in history. I can't ride like him either, but then no one else can either.
karlosdajackal March 31st, 2010, 08:24 AM Thats just silly, he has no elbow slider, but he has knee and shoulder sliders. Total gear fail.
With the way these 800cc machines are going I would not be surprised if someone does end up getting a shoulder down
Greg_E March 31st, 2010, 08:33 AM Depends on the tires and the bank of the pavement, you can not exceed the lean angle of the tire!
CRXTrek March 31st, 2010, 08:59 AM http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk274/enzo_f1/rossi.jpg
Did he forget his bike doesn't have a kickstand again ? :o

All the greats are anomolous in the way they perform their tasks....i guess that's why they're great. I can't shoot a basketball with my tongue hanging out like Michael Jordan. Well...I can, but I just end up slobering all over myself. :D
I'm pretty sure if I tried looking into a corner I'd end up face planting myself into it.
cnichols79us March 31st, 2010, 10:11 AM The Doctor is in!
backinthesaddleagain March 31st, 2010, 01:36 PM Maybe he carved his initials in the track and wanted to see what it looked like at speed.
bdavison March 31st, 2010, 01:41 PM Pics coming soon of me....with that bike.....
JeffM March 31st, 2010, 07:26 PM Casey Stoner getting a little knee, hip, and elbow time

I do think that he is a wee bit lower than the doctor.
backinthesaddleagain March 31st, 2010, 07:52 PM That Duc being a V4 might be a bit narrower than the Yam I4, for what its worth.
CC Cowboy March 31st, 2010, 07:56 PM Stoner is a bit smaller also.

CC Cowboy April 3rd, 2010, 12:26 PM You should have put a Kawi sticker on in!
Cab305 April 3rd, 2010, 04:35 PM The Doctor, performing field surgery!
bdavison April 3rd, 2010, 06:24 PM I have to admit....I wanted to jump on that thing and have some fun....maybe next time.
If I get to take it for a spin, Ill definitely get pics.
Pics dont do it justice...that bike is awesome.
Rossi scribbled his signature across the tank, and on the windshield there are stickers that say "The Doctor" in a really colorful cartoony font. The exhausts are pure artwork...I dont know who did them.
Kawasaki sticker....naw....ninjette.org sticker...now that would have been good.

Gotta love Rossi!

While impressive, Colin Edwards has been dragging elbows and full shin at least since 2008 :p Damn, I wish I had thought to try that. Yep, shoulda gone for some track time much sooner
CC Cowboy April 4th, 2010, 07:57 AM He looks like a dag (Snatch) taking a pee.
backinthesaddleagain April 4th, 2010, 09:27 PM The doctor is in....and he left me alone with his bike...LOL
Saw one of those R1LE at the dealer yesterday. Pretty cool, though I am not a graphics person. Also had a CBR1000RR repsol (not sure on those orange wheels), and an 848 Hayden replica.
Cab305 April 4th, 2010, 09:56 PM I was at the dealer yesterday, they had a Repsol also. I thought the orange rims were pretty nice. The whole bike looked sick, no vinyl stickers, all graphics glossy finished, oh la la....

I told my dealer they should have put all 3 of those replicas side by side, like a starting grid kind of layout.

Recorded the I of M practices tonight on Discovery HD. Its a repeat but better than a new episode of Wizards of Waverly Place.

At least you don’t have far to fall when the tyres let go
Steve
Alex April 8th, 2010, 10:20 PM Craig - Joe did a little photoshop work on Cory's airtime pics. There were cones in the frame that are no longer visible, and at least one of those pics has him a little higher in the air than his trajectory would have taken him. But Cory's still superhuman for hitting 5 that way.
