Thanks Kelly. Yes it was a great weekend. Initially I just signed up for Saturday, but Bulldog showed up with his 250 in the afternoon, so I stayed and rode Sunday too :D A guy that runs a 250 rental service in the east coast was there too.
So it turned out to be a great day for the ninjette, even one of the control riders went out in one of the rentals and thought it was a blast!
Snake May 18th, 2010, 05:36 AM Great looking bike and gear to match. Nice riding technique.
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 06:00 AM Great looking bike and gear to match. Nice riding technique.
Thanks Rick. Learning a little more everytime I ride there and the control/instructional riders at JGP are great. Baby steps :baby:
dubojr1 May 18th, 2010, 07:37 AM Man I've been meaning to get to JGP for years now. Your having all the fun. Just not fair...
I have got to get some full leathers!
CC Cowboy May 18th, 2010, 01:10 PM Joel, was does that rocket do for lap times at Jennings?
cnichols79us May 18th, 2010, 01:30 PM AWESOME Pics!!! :)
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 01:44 PM Joel, was does that rocket do for lap times at Jennings?
My PB is a 1:39.7 Although I wish I had borrowed the timer for the mock race on Sunday. I know I went a few ticks faster during the mock race.
Slowly working on upping the pace, I want to do some suspension work, still stock.
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 01:45 PM AWESOME Pics!!! :)
Thank you.
rockNroll May 18th, 2010, 02:15 PM Sweet pix!! What group did you ride with while on the track, and how heavy are you?
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 02:23 PM Sweet pix!! What group did you ride with while on the track, and how heavy are you?
Thanks. I rode in the novice group. The cutt -off time for the Int group is 1:38 or lower I believe. So we're getting closer.
I weigh 185 with no gear.
CC Cowboy May 18th, 2010, 03:58 PM Good job Joel. That's moving right along on a 250. We are lucky to have that exclusively motorcycle track right in our backyard.
lockie May 18th, 2010, 04:20 PM Great riding. Good Luck.
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 04:41 PM Good job Joel. That's moving right along on a 250. We are lucky to have that exclusively motorcycle track right in our backyard.
Thanks Oscar, it was a blast for sure. Bulldog ran 37s with a best of 36.4 if I recall correctly. He ended up going to Int.
Yes, we are very lucky to have that place. I'll be taking a break during the summer (too damn hot) and return sometime late Sept early Oct. Hope to see you there sometime.
JS73 May 18th, 2010, 04:42 PM Great riding. Good Luck.

+1! I love these kinds of threads.
Zombiphone May 19th, 2010, 07:09 AM Wow, that track looks so green and beautiful and your bike and gear match so perfectly. Great pictures! I don't see a lot of clear visors on the track or otherwise, but it's always cool getting to see people's cornering face :p Looks like a good time :)

Jason, the track store at JGP has a selection of rental leather suits. I see that you are in Jacksonville. I know at least 3 control riders that are from J'ville and met a few riders this weekend that are from there also.
JGP is a lot of fun and the staff is very friendly. Hopefully we'll meet out there sometime.

Yeah, Iam with you.... June-Aug, just too freaking hot for jgp! Anything over 80 is pushing it for me :p
Some real nice pics! I seen the lap timer on your bike, was wondering about times. Tom asked on that one
Those pics are from that guy in the trailor? Wish the private td's would use him, he takes some bad ass pic's for sure :)
tjkamper May 19th, 2010, 10:40 AM Great Pics.

Hi, Kerry. The lap timer I borrowed from Bulldog(another ninjette.org member), my PB is a 1:39.7.
Yes, the pictures were taken by the track photographer, he does take great shots. I will be there this next Sunday for the Orlando Yami-Kawi dealership day. Then on to the summer break.
marsha June 2nd, 2010, 03:24 AM I think we were there that weekend too! We were actually pitted across from the Ninjette rental folks on Sunday & Monday. Sorry we didn't get to meet.
I'm taking my bike up this weekend for my first track day with GotTrack. Any chance you will be there?

Hi Marsha, you'll have a great time with the Ninjette. Sorry we didn't get to meet also.
I was there this past weekend Sat and Sun. I'm taking a break for the summer and will be back in Sept. Hope we can meet then.
Being that this is your first trackday, make sure you go to the photo trailer and get your pictures. They are well worth it.
I got a few more pics this past weekend. I'll post them soon. Make sure to post yours too.:) Have fun!!
marsha June 2nd, 2010, 10:45 AM Thank you! I'm really getting excited. :D
How did you get the mirrors off your bike?

How did you get the mirrors off your bike?
Marsha, the easiest way would be by removing the bolt at the point where the mirror stem folds in and out. I saw a 250 at JGP that the mirrors were taken off this way.
My Ninjette is a track only bike, so I took off a lot of stuff.
Have fun:thumbup:
CRXTrek June 2nd, 2010, 04:09 PM I've seen that suit somewhere....

Thanks, it's a nice comfortable suit. Glad I could help, LOL:D
Sailariel June 2nd, 2010, 05:31 PM Joel, Great technique. You look like Mike Hailwood in your riding style. Very impressive. You are doing speeds the Norton Manx could not do in the 70's on a 250.

Alex, wow I don't even know what to say. To think someone would even mention Mike "The Bike" from my pictures is....well...can't say anything.
Thank you for that compliment. At least I have the style LOL.
