Just wondering if the fairings for the pre-gen differ over the years? I have purchased a 2005 model that has the belly fairing attached on the sides with cable ties. I noticed that some models had plastic tabs to connect the belly fairing but it doesn't look like that on my bike. Also, does anyone know where can i get the bolts to reattach the belly fairing?

Un;ess Australia's model numbers are different, a GPX250 is not what we refer to as a "pre-gen."

"Previous-generation" = EX250F
"Current-generation" = EX250J

The ZX250 is neither due to limited market and concurrent model years. Not sure where a GPZ250 lies unless it's just another name for EX250.

That's right, we have different model numbers, the EX250F is called a GPX250 in Aus.

Do you know if the fairings differed for the EX250F throughout the years?

The GPX250 IS the EX250F. If you have an EX250F and look at your key it might surprise you to see it have GPX on it like mine does. The very original designation of the ninjette comes from the GPX family and in some countries they kept it as that instead of labeling it as EX250F like they did in the states.

To my knowledge all parts from 1988 - 2007 are compatible with one another. They all use the same frame, bolt patterns, etc etc. They only made minor adjustments in finish, all of which still work with other years.

The bottom tabs on the main fairing get broken off in wrecks fairly often.
