View Full Version : List the band you are currently listening to...
Apex April 30th, 2009, 12:56 PM I mainly listen to Christian music, but I do listen to other stuff. Mainly some of the harder stuff I listen to was past stuff that really helped me get through very tough times.
Here is a small portion of my list:
Metallica
Godsmack
Limp Bizkit
Linkin Park
Celtic Woman
Jars of Clay
Third Day
Casting Crowns
Addison Road
Alice In Chains
BarlowGirl
Carrie Underwood
George Strait
Dido
Mercy Me
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Taylor Swift
And several, several others. I have well over 1500 CDs in my collection. :)
List out what you jam to or music that has helped you through some troubling times. :D
Realirony April 30th, 2009, 01:05 PM I have gone through many stages of music love. Most of my artists I listen to are products of my younger bro's influence or my fater.
Metallica
Alice in Chains
Pearl Jam
Led Zep
AC/DC
Doors
Rolling Stones
(all my father's influence)
Haste the Day
Thursday
Cast the First Stone
The Matches
Chiodos
Early November
Detonautas
Boys Night Out
(Little bro influence)
I could go on and on, but my memory fails me and I dont want to type a book. I like the harder music because I cant really stand "main-stream" music cause I feel like its less from the heart, and more from the wallet almost. Thats just my opinion of course. Most of the live bands I've been to see played in hole-in-the-wall venues and not huge ampitheathres
BlueTyke April 30th, 2009, 01:55 PM There...are... to....many!
Few:
Jem
Alanis (older stuff mostly)
Three Plus (guess that one!)
Reba McEntire!
to name a few.

and anything with Bagpipes!!!
ditto, love to listen to them, although SWMBO thinks they sound like someone choking a cat.
I listen to most whatever is on the radio and what jr has on her ipod. I can listen to almost anything, but there is a few that I avoid, mostly rap, hip hop, music that my parents called "easy listening", anything that has a lot of bad language and the "cry in your beer" country music. (The other style of country music I like).
My daughter has a lot a variety on her ipod, lots of international tunes, turned me on to a French singer, Alizee. She is gorgeous and has the voice of the angels. And a body that..........you get the idea. She has done a few in english, but most is in French and OMG does it sound good. Almost makes me want to learn French.

EvilPooMonkey July 14th, 2012, 05:58 PM AnC's best album IMHO was unplugged. I can listed to that for hours.
dude no lie. Layne was the most under rated voice in music and his performance on Unplugged was mind boggling. the whole thing was pretty much perfect. watching ti is the haunting part seeing Layne all dressed in black and scruffy smoking cigarettes. and nutshell giz me da chillz :P great album though. i <3 friends don't let friends get crappy haircuts though LOL
p.s. if you like unplugged and wanna see a stellar performance check out the Silversun Pickups. i know its not 90's grunge but the vocals are amazing and the music is actaully better then the studio version. i loved it.
CZroe July 14th, 2012, 07:35 PM Ferry Corsten - Loud Electronic Ferocious - L.E.F.

itsEnZo July 18th, 2012, 02:22 PM I just downloaded Spotify on my iPhone about half a month ago, and I've been going bat**** crazy listening to as many albums as I can before my 1month free trial runs out.
Band of Horses - Cease to Begin
Owl City - Ocean Eyes
Green Day - Dookie
Fun. - Some Nights
Fun. - Aim & Ignite
Cascades - Rhythm of the Rain
Kanye West - Graduation (<<<<<<<<<<College Dropout fyi)
Rancid - And Out Come the Wolves
Jet - Get Born
Foo Fighters - One By One
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt2: Scenes From a Memory
Eminem - The Eminem Show
And that's basically all I was able to fit in, listening to each at least 3 times. Anyone have any recommendations on what to listen to? I love listening to music, and I recommend all that I listed (except for Graduation)

Love me some Pearl Jam, Cake, Beck, Bush, Live, Breaking Benjamin, etc, plus some cheesy 80s music I listened to growing up. :)
