After a couple of close calls with cars merging into my lane, I decided to replace the lowly stock Ninja horn with a Freeway Blaster, 132db low tone.
I had read a few reports on the horn but did not know exactly how much louder it would be. The packaging of the horn even said truck horn but how much louder would it be compared to the stock horn?
Well my results are that the Freeway Blaster is louder than the stock horn but far from being truck loud. I think it is just a matter of physics that in order to make it louder, it has to move more air and the only way to get truck volume is with air-compressed horns which my bike has no room to mount.
Hear for yourself. I recorded my new Freeway Blaster compared to my 2010 Honda Civic stock horn. Each were recorded outside of the vehicle. Be the judge for yourself.
