I Guess there are NO 250 Riders in Tampa area?!?!? I guess i must be imagining things when i think i see one on the road:eek:

Just means they are not active on these forums. Try to meet up with them and talk to them, then get them on the forums.

I know we used to have a few Tampa riders, not sure what happened to them. I'm up in Orlando myself, so if we were to get together for a ride it would have to be on weekends.

I might be making a trip over that way sooner than I thought, I am having problems with BOTH my USB ports on my MacBook Pro :eek:


But right now I couldn't care less cause I just put 3 miles on my bike (up and down the block with a couple old people looking at me like im crazy) and feel pretty good :thumbup:

Just recently joined the forums. I'm wondering if anybody is going to the Kawasaki Test and Ride in Tampa March 26-27? I'm actually heading out there on Sunday. I'm looking forward to riding the zx-6r.

I signed up, but I don't know if I will go. I think their are going to be so many people trying to ride a zx6 or zx10 that I don't know if it will be worth the trip

Ozello is a blast -- just be careful. There's basically no shoulder, and water on the side of some of the curves.

It was a fun ride. I just wish these roads were longer.

Thanks Lonewolf. Does anyone have the proton flush mounts? How easy are they to install, are they as easy as they look? Are they any good?

I don't have them but from what i've seen they are VERY bright and a good product i just couldn't justify the $90 bucks for them. Sorry to hear about the dump:( thats never good.

Lonewolf I will see what I can do. I think she is out of town that weekend. And I might be tied up at the mouse house :( But here is my justification for $90. I busted both left signals. If i get the flush mounts, I will take my right front, I will put it in the place of my left rear, hoping that will work. And that save me from buying 2 $48 stock left turn signals. In a few weeks I might replace the back ones with flush mounts too and/or put in the tail light with integrated signals also. Prob wouldn't hurt more lights in the back to get peoples attention. After the new lights, and gear shifter I will be able to ride again. Also I am still breaking in my bike. I bought it "used" with 172 miles on it. It isn't even to 1000 miles, and i'm not completely comfortable with alot of interstate driving. Especially not without (a)nother bike around.

I've been told by others on bigger bikes with more experience that I'm both crazy and braver than them for the amount of time I spend on I-4. It's true, I-4 is insane most of the time. I can't tell you how many times I've had close calls because of cagers being cagers. :rolleyes:

Well my shifter is fixed. Rode the block seems to work. I'll give it a real test tomorrow going to work. Easy fix.Easier than the turn signals :-( Freaking protons dont have wiring harness connections. Caps does your wife ride too?

yes and no... she is just a passenger right now, but we purchased our 250 for her :) so when she finally starts driving it I will get my r6 :D (finances permitting)

Thats cool! As soon as I get completely used to riding and comfortable in all situations, I want to upgrade. (finances permitting) the bigger sport bikes are expensive to insure!

I dunno about "lakeland" this week. No guarantees. Plus something felt a little odd tonight riding home. At first i thought my back tire was low, but it looks good. Might have just been my backpack messing with my head, or i dunno. It was only one part of the ride home from work where I was doing curves behind a semi. So I was slower than usual on that particular road. I hope I can get on her (Code Red my bike) before the weekend. Maybe Thursday for Winter Park

the air buffeting off the back of the semi will mess with you a lot more than you realize.

We were only going 20 or so. It was different feeling than buffeting. My bike has this weird feeling when I'm running around 3500rpm in any gear for a while. I notice it before. And I'm thinking that might have been the case just feeling wonky since I was in curves. Not sure. Prob gonna ride it tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
