Thx! Your pics have been uploaded to that smugmug gallery, so they will show up from time to time on the splash page and at the top of each page. You can certainly set up your own gallery here as well, (under "quick links" in the menu bar choose "pictures & albums") but there's no requirement to do so.

Ugh. Smugmug is currently down, so our header pictures (and splash page pictures) are showing a clunky red X. Hopefully this will be a short down-time, but it does mean I might have to consider hosting these pics locally. I do that for other forums, but it's so much harder to maintain long-term compared to just pointing a single line of code to a random picture generator using the smugmug API...

First just go to that gallery and see if I haven't snagged them already. If they aren't in there, just let me know where they are on the site, or post up a link to where they are elsewhere, and I'm happy to add them. The higher the resolution, the better; don't resize ahead of time.

I try to add any neat picture of a ninjette that is posted on this site that catches my eye, but I'm sure I miss some from time to time.

Alex I posted some of the pics that I have made of my bike and posted them in the blog section. Is that OK? Let me know if those are some that can be used.

Some of the pics in your album are large enough (1024x768 is a good start), but I'm not sure which ones you'd suggest to be put into the head pic rotation. I see two pics of your bike in your garage (1 of which is cutting out part of the rear of the bike), and 1 pic of your fender eliminator.

Think high-quality pic of your bike, with a nice background, or at least an interesting location, and I'll post it up right away.

Glad to have all these pics up. Alex you did good on that part, the opening page is rarely ever the same. While I just got internet back today after about 3 weeks of going without, ala 80's, I was able to check in a time or two at the library. The first time, the blue stop sign, woohoo, the second time, was the one Sound_wave took of our bikes when we rode Tantalus. Glad to see that even though I wasn't here, my bike was.

It's just a photo gallery, with interesting pictures of ninjettes. There is no underlying data or further info related to each pic. There is a link underneath the random picture on both the splash page and the portal page that links to the photo gallery itself, so people can browse all 800+ pics at this point at their leisure.

Yeah, but it can be pretty hard finding it again in those 800+ pics and, if you didn't hit your browser's stop button in time, you don't get long to check out something that catches your eye (often doesn't catch it soon enough).

Very often, I wonder "Where was that taken?" or "Who's bike was that?" (so I can ask a question about their mods, how they did something, or where they found something), etc, but even if they rarely have info like the example above, I usually just want to see or grab the image (Tin Eye (http://tineye.com/)can often help find the author).

Even just a link to that specific (though randomly presented) picture in the gallery would be useful because even when I rush to grab that particular image, it downloads a completely different random image. My only option appears to be Print Screen/PrtSc. :( My clipboard usually has something in it that I can't just dump in an instant.

Sounds like it would be nice. Not going to happen in this gallery. :) The smugmug random pic API doesn't provide an additional link back to the original pic page. If it ever does,, I'll include it at that point. The only additional details you see now are if they are embedded in the pic's EXIF info itself; the one you linked is one of mine. I use my GPS on the bike to geocode all motorcycling pics, and that info is stored in the EXIF fields, which smugmug then displays.

I think Jon was running either the older BT-090's or their replacements, the BT-003's. They are both available in 110/70/17 f and 140/70/17 rear, and it looks like he has either the 140 or 150 on the rear (though I think it is the 140's).

swing arm are standard, It's look different because I put arm cover+hugger on it. wheel are 4.5" wide rear & 3.5" wide front fitted on 160/60/17 & 120/70/17 tire set, aftermarket wheel bought from Indonesia

I just finishing doing work on it. Carbon fiber slip on, LED integrated 3rd brake light, Mirrors with LED turn signals and smaller LED turn signals on the rear. I just took it today for a stage 2 dyno jet, K&N intake and 14/41 sprockets. I will upload more pics when I get it done

I'm not sure if anyone's brought this up, but is there any way you can use pictures that link back to threads on the forum? I can't tell you how many times I've logged in and wanted to know more about a bike, location, or helmet featured in the picture. :bangdesk:

Actually i've done that too, logged in and seen a wicked picture on the portal page and wondered if there was a way to find the original thread it came out of.

If you're using Chrome as your browser, you can right-click the image and use Google image search. ("search google for this image")

OK, I uploaded some pictures. I think at some point I ended up on the TEST site, due to a bad link, but now...I can use the pull down menu and get to Photo Gallery. I can find my photos. But I dont have a Photo Gallery link in the left frame of my posts. Yet, e.g., ELzRx does. Why? Cant find where to turn it on in my settings.

Thanks for any info or assistance.
