Has a company actually made one the pregen's? I look around couldn't find anything. I did find find some rearset brackets for the newgens by Yoshimura.

I know some people actually fabricated their own but its not a documented "how to".

We could see if the Newgen Yoshi bracket would work. Its not too expensive ($90). And It comes with the bolts and the "extended shift rod".

But I am not sure if it will even bolt up to a pregen. Also if it did, how the fitment would be and if we would need the newgen rearset also. I am going to the Kawasaki Dealership tomorrow to do some measuring. Hopefully i'll get some useful Intel.

Fabricate some plates/brackets. It would be much cheaper. Must consider what kind of metal to use and also source a proper length shift rod and hardware.

I wouldn't mind making a couple of sets to try out. But I am not sure what metal and thickness to use. Or how to cut the metal with. lol

I'd probably use 3/8" thick 6061 T6 aluminum. You could cut it with a hack saw if you needed to, but it would look a lot better if they were CNC milled for the contour. You'll also need to know how to drill and tap.

Find out what the center to center distance of the stock mounting holes are and it shouldn't be too hard.

Stopping the dealership today, gonna compare the stock mounting holes on the newgens.

work up some templates using some thick cardboard first. That way it will be easy to remake your second and third fittings. :) Once you get the design and hole placements exactly where you want it. transfer the design to the aluminum stock, then cut your final design once.

Awesome! so they fit, these are also cheaper than Yoshimura brackets. I'm gonna buy a set and see if I can create a set.

I think you'll find it difficult to get a set of Cycle Control rear set plates and the few that have, have had fitting issues, I believe.

I doubt you could get aluminum that thick at Home Depot. I'd search around locally for some sheet metal distributors, or order it from McMaster.com

Cool Cool, did some measuring. I'm making cardboard templates as advised. And your right, the cyclecontrol website was up, but looks to be inactive for acouple of years.

just wanted to give a little update. Should have something done by next week.
