I have this bag. Works well, but . . . .

It marks the heck out of my tank. At first I though, just black marks from pad and they wash off, no biggie. But after about 6 months, my tank is scratched as hell. I did not have this problem with my old ICON tank bag.

I cut out a section of tool drawer liner and put that between my tank and the magnetic tank bag. So far no scratches. When I sold my '97 Nighthawk 750 last year I rode over 60k+ miles with the tankbag/ tool drawer mesh combo and never had any scratches.

Sad, but true. Go with the tool drawer liner idea. Anything but what I did, which was hope it would work out. (It didn't.)
