Looks like it was a good time. How did you like the Ninja 1000? I will be testing it out when the Ticket to Ride comes in my area in 2 weeks. And I refuse to even get on the ZX-10. I don't even want to tempt myself.

ninja 1k/z1k were both awesome, really comfy riding style and great power
taking corners felt really fun since you sit upright instead of being tucked in

i do wish they offered adjustable levers on them, but definitely not a deal breaker

i did noticed my forearms got tired instead of my back and shoulders
prolly just need to get used to my hands being high up and straight

why not the zx10?
i rode it first day first ride, amazing bike, but not considering getting one, i'd prefer the z1000 for commuting reasons

The Z1000 was more of a kick in the pants for me. The low end power is mind boggling, give it a little too much and the front wheel will be off the ground. I think this also has to do with being up right, so your weight isnt over the front of the bike. As for the zx10r you must try it! Its an incredible bike in every aspect for sure

Just like we were mentioning at the ride... sometimes the bigger bikes intimidate people. Nothing wrong with that... I'd rather not have anyone put above their comfort zone... dangerous for everyone around them

why not the zx10?

I noticed in the first video at about 0:37 you lifted the front end shifting into 2nd gear, and all I could make out was a "WOW!". :D that made me laugh a little, I'd be afraid to touch a liter bike, one slip of the hand and your done :(

I used to think that too until I had the opportunity to ride several (ZX-10R, Ninja 1000, Z1000 and even ZX-14). What it really boils down to is throttle control... the bike will only do what you tell it to do. I rode each of them pretty hard and the only one that I accidentally got the wheel off the ground was the Z1000. I'm not saying everyone should sell their 250R and buy the ZX-10R... I'm just stating that it's not as "uncontrollable" as even I once thought it might be.

Exact same thing for me  It for sure about hoe YOU control the bike and what you let it get away with. Its only as smart as you are

OH and i jut got my free kawk shirt today

also i got to redo chris' vid since the 2nd half is too big to upload
and i dont want to cut out 40 sec. of ride time

I think I want a sport tourer that's more on the sport than touring. The ZX-10 is just too sporty, though it looks amazing. I don't even want to ride it at the Kawasaki event in fear that I may want it over the Ninja 1000. :D

seeing as you have a zx6 and a 250 im sure you know what you will ultimately want/get

i really like the zx10 but if i had to choose that or the z1000, i would pick the z1000
