Rode out to MSR Houston (www.msrhouston.com) for the annual MotoHouston BBQ and track day event. Great time out there and awesome BBQ. Despite being very windy that day everyone had fun. There were a few spills on the track but no serious injuries.

For those that don't know what Parade Laps are, they allow riders to get a taste of how it feels to ride on a track. They are done during the lunch session while all they track day participants are on their lunch break. The laps usually last about 15-20 minutes which is an ample amount of time to get a few laps in. The ride is supervised by various instructors on track and off track to ensure the safety of everyone by control the speed of riders and pulling people off the track if their riding is deemed unsafe.

I noticed my riding was horrible compared to last time and I was pushing myself past my skill level. The daimond edge was a tricky to learn but was fun. I was entering a few turns hot and not setting my entry speed. I went wide exiting the carousel onto the pit straight and a safety instructed me to slooooooooooow down. :eek:

I just won leathers on Ebay so I'll be officially partaking in a track day event very soon. Then, I can finally learn how to ride smoother.
