The track part gives you a perfect example of smooth shifting into a corner. Notice he uses his brakes to slow down, then down shifts a few times, rides through the corner, then accelerates as smoothly as he decelerated.

My ninjette with aftermarket exhaust sounds just like this! (Well, quite a bit fartier if I'm honest. And without the growl and hum, more of a slapping. With a bit of hair dryer thrown in. But otherwise identical. :p)
