the first time i road a moto was my own used honda F4i. :D bought it, got my permit and gear, and road my first moto, all in the same day!

saddly she died young after someone ran me off a freeway over pass (RIP!)

its replacement was a used '03 600RR. its seen better times, being lowsided by owner number one. and then highsided at the track by me at my second (and very wet) track day. (road and crashed the 250 at same track day...)

ooopppsss

ninja lols later in the day, i bent the levers back and road it the rest of the day :)

it died a few hundred miles later from oil issues related to this (and past) events

fixed the CBR up mechanically, still pretty ugly but pretty where it counts :), but its not worth the money for new fairings! so its nicked named scar tissue.

one of these days il lgrab a nice shoot of the thing :)

anywho, its my daily driver, but hoping to get the ninja back in the fray this summer, better MPG and nicer for my daily ride.

hmm looking a bit too wet for the track in those pics... might of had something to w it :p

Anyway how much harder is a 600RR to ride than the 250?? I'm really debating getting a 600RR next season.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I just got email about the most recent post...

To explain a bit more of what was said prior, its different. My 600rr is harder to ride as a commuter, hands down. But better at the track. A stock 600rr is a bit better for daily commute, but still less then a 250.

The reason I don't say easy.... while on a 600 you can be lazy with your shifts, use less throttle etc.... the bike is less nimble, the seat is higher (I notice the when stopped on top of ruts or speed bumps etc) you also have to think more to keep your self out of trouble.... on a ninja you grab full throttle and click up the gears to get on the freeway. With a 600 you'll be doing 100+ before you know it. All these things are great for the track etc... but bad for your daily ride to work down town.

Also fuel more often, and well the list goes on. it's just different. You have to ask yourself which bike is right for what you want to do

I agree that Ninja is an easier ride in-town, and is actually a perfect city bike, where 600 would get uncomfortable.

But on a hwy, 600cc bike is a much easier ride - passing cars is a non-event, it's not much affected by wind gusts, and is more stable in turns.

Ninja is perfect in 0-50mph range, while a 600 needs 30mph to start with :)

So how many times have you wrecked on CBR or in total??
