Yes I do, but I cut the wires off of some of them. I have shrink tubing and soldering iron to add you existing back to it though.

I haven't done any of that, but I want to one day, but I will wait until I have time to replace the filter with pod style and just do it all at once. For now I am happy with the performance and styling. Give me a month though and that may change.

Hopefully this means I'll be able to put the bike in the shop relatively soon and get a few issues taken care of. Not going to fix the plastics at this point, more concerned with the ongoing mechanical/electrical issues that seem to be growing. Once this is done I'll start coming out with you guys.

Highly recommended to folks who are on the fence. Makes a great difference. Shimming the needles more so than the snorkle, but since that's so easy...

No. It is easier to turn with the back of the bike raised and the rear wheel free floating in the air.

It was very harsh sounding. Especially with no sound suppressor. Without the tip, it was uncomfortable to ride for more than 45 minutes or so. On the highway, I tended to wear earplugs.

The power tip kills off a lot of the harshness, but it's still a pretty loud pipe.

Screw it, it's too nice a day to sit at a keyboard, I'm going for a ride now...

MrEmmortal: check out our 250 group on meetup. Pretty much the same as the thread name. Or I think the link is on the card mat made. We umm are going to Lakeland this week, that's the plan. Last week we did Kissimmee. If we get people all over the place we can make the group outings be from Tampa to A beach. Assuming we get people from different areas. Hopefully keep it to central Florida area. I mean I'm not riding to Sarasota or anything. But Tampa/Lakeland/Clermont/east Orlando/south Orlando/sanford wherever. But we want this meetup group of 250s to grow.

Now to answer the question about exhaust, I dunno. I currently have my fender not sure how long or what I want to do with it. So an exhaust although nice price (if i heard correct) is out right now Darrell. But a slip on easy to install might be nice. Not too loud but a little louder than stock. I don't wanna piss people off when I leave for work at 4:30 in the morning.

and honestly the full exhaust is much more worth it bc i did the same thing i got the growler thinking eh a slip-on is good enough for me but then i wanted a full exhaust to try and get the most power out of the bike and make it a lil more fun

Out of those I like the Bilt Circuit Racer and the Sedici Torino's. The other Bilt's just dont jive with me. On the Verona's the wrist part looks bulky. The Talon's look a little bulky as well. My absolute top for me would be the Torino's. They look pretty long and not bulky, but I do not like gloves with a lot of material to fold up around the wrist.

I think I'm going to go with the Torino's because they are only $10 more and they have a lifetime warranty

Only 1 more hour. Then I am stopping by the store and getting some paint and tape to paint my windshield. I was interested in the idea of a logo. Something like the flyer originally posted but with a new gen.

Yes I have paint and tape left over. A buddy from work may be coming over this weekend to do his. The spray can does 25sq/ft the windshield is about 1sq/ft

tech days in tampa are awesome ONLY bc my parents neighbor worked at a machine shop and is very handy when you run into problems lol and when you need a specific tool he more than likely has it

shimming needles
removing snorkel
re-jetting
removing the air box
installing air filter pods
installing full exhaust

Having experience vs and exemplary record of being able to do anything mechanical with instructions. If I can replace a timing belt, camshaft tensioner, waterpump, and get it all back together, then I think with all the DIY's here, my handiness trumps your doing it once....lol. Actually I don't know, But I can't get the bike and stands to Tampa at the same time.

Plus I have a hot tub, fiance that makes lumpia (Filipino eggroles), and a garage with plenty of space and tools. Now whether I could get her to make some..... that is a different story.

And the hot tub doesn't work atm.

Lol ridiculousness and its cool tech days in Orlando on your bikes. Bike stands aren't really needed either to do any work to the bike UNLESS changing tires then they are needed. For the tech days Joseph or Adam are you guys considering shimming and that good stuff?

Once I get some washers. I plan to shim needles, replace airbox with pod filters, remove kleen air system, and move my rear brake reservoir. Should be ordering clip-ons next Friday if the money pans out.

A front sprocket will make your bike act like it has a 7th gear, it will lower your rpms about 500 across the entire range. Also better gas mileage :thumbup:

Its sold as an emissions block off plate, but it covers one of the two holes left by removing the KLEEN system

Yea its for plugging up a hole from the kleen system you can create your own plug but I want the cleaner look and solid peice to cover the hole

A 15 tooth front sprocket is your friend... It's the legendary 7th gear mod. I had the front swapped with a 15 tooth, and IIRC a 41 tooth on the rear. Dropped RPMs by about 1000 at 65 MPH.

I actually submitted all the info to Gearingcommander.com for the 250r back in the day. I had to send pics of my owners manual so he could verify the info... Overboard, but they check their facts, nice!

And on another note... Anyone need a jet kit for a new gen?

What sort of jet kit. Might be attempting to remove my airbox which would require this.

Well it looks like I'll be getting that (pretty much a ninjette exclusive at this point) new AreaP exhaust system for my bike. It needs it cause of the aging yoshi that's currently on it. I also purchased recently a complete wire harness, I figure as long as they are gonna tear the bike apart when they do the cam chain they might as well replace that old wire harness as well. I am also looking for a right handle bar and helmet lock for cheap (for the pre-gens of course). Hopefully I'll get something from the accident, and also hopefully I'll get that blasted Corvette sold and be able to put my baby in the shop for a real good overhaul with quite a number of new stuff on it. :)

Just need to put aside something like $1000+ to get everything done though. :(

Not to rain on Ur parade here either bill... But the stage 2 kit won't work .with the bike if you remove your airbox. I kno from experience. The needles you can use but not large enough jets

Came home to a nice card and a clean car. Spent an hour polishing the headlights on my VW. Watching F1 qualifying now. How much longer did you 2 ride?

Just got home. We shopped around KMS she got her equalizers but we didn't install them yet. Gonna be harder than mine since her signals are still stock on back. But then we went downtown (I have pix) and then off to home. It was a good day. Oh yeah got my cowl. They had one black in stock for the '10 :-) I love them.

Looking like there is only a slight chance of rain on Thursday. If it is clear, I will definitely be at the Steak N Shake meet.

I have to remember to check into these meets....lol
