Stefan Bradl has topped the timesheets in the first session of free practice for the Moto2 class at Brno. Bradl led for much of the session, though he was chased hard by Julian Simon, Aleix Espargaro and Alex de Angelis. De Angelis came out on top of that chase, ending just over a tenth behind Bradl, while Espargaro took 3rd ahead of Simon. The efforts by Simon and Espargaro are impressive as both are still riding injured. Simon's leg that was shattered at Barcelona is healing nicely, but Espargaro's result is truly remarkable. Only given the all clear to ride this morning at the local hospital, Espargaro is riding with a cracked vertebra, a picture of which he posted on Twitter (http://yfrog.com/kf1hkulj). It looks very painful indeed.
