Some of the other boards I used to belong to had a pretty neat chatbox installed right on the home page. Any thoughts to having that here?

If I could find one that would integrate easily with userID's here, and not be a hindrance in the frequent software upgrades to the forum software (including an upcoming migration to 4.X at some point), I'd consider it. But all of the ones I've seen have been quite clunky, and more trouble than they would be worth to support. :idunno:

any updates on this? Id love to be able to just talk the hours away at work

Sorry, I haven't looked into this. If people have found solutions on a vB 4.x board that seem to work well, please post up here.

I'll be honest, it sounds like a good idea but it would just take up space. Even on sites with thousands of active posters, the shoutbox tends to stagnate.

we have a chatbox on the ninjette.org facebook page.

I asked on another forum I'm on that has a nice chatbox set up on it what the name of it is. Hopefully they'll let me know sometime soon, and I'll let you know what it is.
