Well these brackets are made for newgen as you guys may know but they do fit the older models. They do work and fit, depending on how much effort you wanna put in.
Time:
20minutes
Tools:
hacksaw
grinder
tin snips/good scissors
Removing Unused Mounting Point:
One mounting point (one on frame, corresponding one on rearset) on the brake pedal side will now be unused. The point on the frame, I simply grind off. The one on the rearset I used a hacksaw. Makes everything look cleaner.

Rubbing Issue Bracket on Frame:
For beginners, both sides will most likely have small points where you have to grind a bit off the frame/weld. Nothing crazy, you can also take a small bit off the corner of the A&L brackets itself. Like I said, nothing crazy, about 3mm of materials removed. Takes less then 2 minutes for each side, just be careful.
Red highlights indicated areas of grinding or removed.

Brake Hose:
Since the brake pedal rearset is pushed up and back, so is the brake hose and reservoir. You will need to trim off the brake hose leading to the reservoir about 1.5inches. Very simple. ONLY drain the contents of the reservoir and top portion of the hose. Remove reservoir from hose. Take some tin snips and make ONE CLEAN CUT, 1.5 inches off the hose. Put back on reservoir and refill. Bolt reservoir back up.

Optional: Exhaust Mount
My bike came with an older yoshi exhaust so I don't know stock configuration is. But most likely the exhaust mount might be moved around. An easy fix is with metal brackets from the hardware store. Or you might not even have to do anything on your bike. I wouldn't know.
Conclusion:
Now I know this may sound like more of hassle for some, but I assure you doesn't take much to do. Everything work out great, very sturdy, the new position feels good also. Just make sure to sand any bare metal smooth and repaint it when you get a chance to avoid rusting.
I was also in the process in making my own rearset, these gave me a good understanding how they would fit better on a pregen.
