View Full Version : EX250H / ZZR250 Farkles
bcole666 September 3rd, 2011, 04:29 AM Hi Guys
I've been searching google for hours and hours looking for somewhere that sells ex250H / zzr250 farkles and havent found anything decent. :bangdesk:
Considering google cant answer me, I was wondering if you guys could help? Is there something I'm missing (e.g. some farkles are interchangeable with other models like the ex250f or ex250g)?
Thanks :)

Socal5646 September 5th, 2011, 10:19 PM Hey there...new owner of a red 2006! So far I've removed stickers, made accessory lead switched and added a garage door opener button on the fairing!
Coming soon:
Bi-xenon hid kit
Custom seat/seat cowl
Remove rear fender?

Alex September 5th, 2011, 10:28 PM Hi John - that's an EX250F, not the ZZR. The EX250H / ZZR-250's weren't sold in the US directly, and were more commonly available in Canada, Australia, etc.
Here's what the ZZR's look like:

Farkles for them do seem much harder to come by compared to the more common 250's. But it's certainly a nice looking bike.
bcole666 September 6th, 2011, 01:59 AM You paid $1700? fuaaaaaaaaark!
I paid $2200 for mine (an older model with more kms) - and thats AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS!
very very nice looking bike, that garage door button is pretty cool.
Snake September 6th, 2011, 09:34 AM John, I love that garage door opener. Could you do a DIY thread on how you wired it up? Thanks in advance.
Socal5646 September 6th, 2011, 02:00 PM thanks all!
about the garage door opener...lol...it's so simple I don't know if I want to insult anyone with a DIY. I'm sure everyone knows about the highbeam DIY to get the garage door open right? Instead of a relay switching the garage door opener on/off you just hook the two wires coming from the garage door opener up to a temporary switch! (3 bucks radio shack).
If that doesn't make sense...let me know and I'll post another video!
johnjohn September 7th, 2011, 05:46 AM Bcole666, let me know if you find farkles or anything for the ZZR250. Nothing I have found in Canada. I saw an interesting thread once on reversing the mirrors left to right and vise versa to get a low mirror position to get away from the elbows in the way. There has to be a pic somewhere, maybe Alex knows of it.
choneofakind September 7th, 2011, 12:19 PM bcole666 if you want to do exhaust, I've seen both the yoshi system and the 2bros system on zzr's
yoshi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbLXa8nIHhM
2bros: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuPv_FRaZVQ
and the Yoshi full system seems to work as well, so I would then assume (but I'm not entirely sure seeing as I've never actually seen a zzr in person) that any full system for the ex250 would also work on your bike
yoshi full: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POjQ2jkY-BQ&feature=related
don't forget to jet if you change the exhaust/intake
socal5646 bike is looking good! when you do the bi-xenon would you mind doing a DIY and take pictures as you go? the one diy on here for pregen HID headlight has not been updated in a long tim
here it is if you want to see what i mean

Socal5646 September 7th, 2011, 01:40 PM No problem...should get to it by the weekend! I'll make a video for you!
bcole666 September 8th, 2011, 07:34 PM john, i managed to haggle this guy down to AU$20 for the windscreen, and that includes free postage. only really bought it as a back up in case the worst happens. he also sells other colour tinting from memory (blue, clear, darker and lighterh blacks)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250822403030&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
apart from that, ive been restricted to buying generic "one size fits all" mods, which have only been new grips and rim tape :(
so far, all three have been off ebay :(
also chris, thanks for the tips for exhausts but the last owner already put one on that i'm happy with :p
