Well guys. It was over a month and a half ago, but im new to this forum, so i thought i'd spill it now.

I was riding along with a gixxer, cbr250rr, ninja250 (current gen) and a hyo 650r. We were hitting up the twisties, i got carried away, went hot into a corner. Ran wide. Braked, too little too late and ended up crashing head first into a rocky cliff face type wall. Like the mountain sides on those country roads? Anyways...

Here are some pics:

These are straight after the crash. The next morning in fact.

After i started to rebuild:

I never realised just HOW bent that fork was!

After changing the forks, front fairing bracket, tail light assembly, right mirror, windscreen, and getting a new front fairing. I took to repairing my own fairings. Fiberglass for the win!

Here is how it looks. Not too pretty, but come summer, its going to get a fresh coat of classic mazda red.

Good work on the bike and glad you're ok...any injuries? Were you wearing full gear?

Thankfully no injuries. I was wearing full gear. My draggin jeans only copped a scuff on the knee. My boots got a little ripped up around the ankle and toe, the same with my glove. But they are still very useable. Just light scars.

I had a sore neck for a week and still have a sore muscle at the front of my left shin. If i werent wearing gear, it could of been ALOT worse. Here is a pic of my helmet. I keep this infront of my bike so that every time i get on it, i remember to ride within my limits and be sensible.

It did it's job. Luckily i didnt get a cheapie.

I guess you're fully recovered by now. Seeing that helmet after the crash must really make you appreciate the ATGATT philosophy. Imagine if that was your face

What bike is that... / was that? It doesn't look like a Ninja EX250 to me. Hope you're going to get it painted so the colours match!

Also - what's that car in the background. It looks like it might be a beautiful classic. <3 white wall tyres.

That car is a Holden EK 1961. I always believed ATGATT would save me one day, and it did.

Someone has one for $1200 around here. It's red though. I might get a job, and if I can raise the money before it sells, I'll pick her up even though I wouldn't be able to ride for a long time. The ZZR250s are REALLY beautiful. Wouldn't mind having that pre-gen.

How did they get it into the US, is it a Canadian model?

Never mind. Not true. Just saw a picture. Now I'm sad...
