Well a couple of months ago I was finally able to get my unrestricted license and as much as it had served me well and I'd enjoyed my time on the baby ninja, I wasnt wasting any time in upgrading haha.
Test rode some various bikes (06 CBR1000, 06 CBR600, 06 R1, 07 Z1000, 07 GSXR750) and my biggest decision was whether to for for a 600 or 1000.
The day I got my unrestricted license my mate offered me a ride on his CBR1000 and it was mind blowing and pants wettening at the same time :P
Rode an R1 and a CBR600 a few days later and then took a GSXR750 out for an extended test ride.
I decided that this next bike wasnt going to be my last so I figured the time for a litre bike was later down the track. I think coming off a 250 made me feel a lot more comfortable on a smaller bike which is where the 600 and 750 felt best. The better mid range and peak power on the 750 made the final decision pretty easy really.
So here it is, my first big bike, a K7 Suzuki GSXR 750.
Had it for about 3 months now and its an absolute hoot to ride. Still makes me smile the amount of power that comes on at the twist of a wrist and I think its going to keep me entertained for a long while yet.
Couldnt afford to keep the 250 as a commuter or learner bike for my brother in a year or 2 so had to let it go :( Sold it to a mate though so I still see it around a bit. Realistically though I doubt I would have ever rode it anyway because the Gix makes even commuting fun :)
Enough chit chat, heres some pics!

Didnt waste anytime getting some track time on it too ;) Took it out there for the first time after 2 weeks and have done 3 days on it now
