got a good deal on a 08 zx6r that i couldnt pass up so i snagged it up.. it was actually a girls bike so it was painted black and pink, hence the pink bolts i havent changed out yet on the brake disc.. but original owner, 5k miles. so i tore it all down and repainted with a flat green.. gave me a chance to go over all the bolts and give it a nice tune up while at it :) has yoshi pipe, k&n filter and jumper mod .. vortex lowering links and tinted screen. not many plans for it as of yet other then ride it a few more times before the cold weather comes in full time :D

That OD green looks surprisingly good. I see you have a tank bag on it :) I wish my CBR didn't have that fiberglass tank cover so I could use mine. Grats on your super sport. After I got mine, I rarely ever rode my ninja, in fact, I gave it to my wife lol.

This sounds just like my story :). Too good a deal to pass up, wasn't planning on an upgrade, 07-08 zx6r. It's a great bike and I'm sure you'll love it! Be careful because once you hit 9k she pulls like crazy. I like the flat green.

color name is olive drab, walmart usually has them like $4 a can.. took 3 cans to do all the fairings and that was multiple coats..

^ good deal on paint! It looks great too! (maybe could use some white decals and white rim stripes so it looks OEM, but in sexy flat olive drab :) ) Make sure to actually ride the 250 too! Every bike needs some lovin. Even the little zippy ones

it was a hard decision deciding on OD or flat white.. still may do flat white over winter but im liking the green.. and yeah the 250 will still get play but i wont lie, not as much. its like having a dodge viper and a geo metro in the garage, the viper is just more fun to drive..loL! altho the 250 will probably be a bike for my brother to ride on occasion so i can have a riding buddy..haha!

Woah: that bikes a monster! Huge. It looks like it weighs a ton: I can't imagine myself being able to hold it up.

Looks great with the army look - it's fitting - it's like a tank-bike. Oooh! Name it "tank".

Anyway: enjoy your new bike.

yeah it takes a few good rides to get use to the difference from the 250.. my main thing is i had lowering blocks up front so it actually raised my handle bar height, and the 600 is really low so i feel like im laying down on it compared to the 250 im much more vertical lol!

OH! and the 600 rarely gets the throttle fully opened like the 250..loL!

i rode the 250 for the first time today in like 2 weeks, been riding the 600 mainly. wow! what a diff in size now going back down to the 250, its night and day.. the 250 feels so light, and i feel like im sitting up on a cruiser compared to the 600..loL! it actually makes the 250 more enjoyable to ride.

yeah i scuffed them real good with a scotchbrite pad..then cleaned them real good with rubbing alky.. then painted. and right now im gonna hang onto it unless i come across a zx14 which is what i really want, then ill sell the 600. i think live2ride is selling his 07 zx6r tho ..

Was the pink paint job professional? My girlfriend has and '07 zx6r and has talked about getting it painted pink. We probably could have done a fairing swap, though I don't know if you would like Kawasaki green over army green

from what i could tell yeah, it was black and pink with slightly more pink then black but it was scraped up a little and wasnt in the best shape.. bikes are easy to paint though. take the fairings off and drop off at a paint shop and let them do there thing. or wanna be cheap do it yourself with rattle cans. rattle cans come out good on bikes because its mostly all smaller parts so you dont see any sweeping lines or anything if your half way descent at painting :)
