View Full Version : What's the point of this board?

I started this website because as much as I love the 250, I was never fond of any of the other 250 sites on the net. They either had a terribly clunky interface, an overdose of advertising, a limited community feel, and a bunch of other issues that I've probably forgotten. I want ninjette.org to be different. A genuinely fun place for 250R owners to come and chat about their bikes and motorcycling in general, with all of the latest features that modern website forum software can provide.

It's only been up for a few days, but it's starting to be found on the larger search engines, and traffic will hopefully go up soon. It certainly can't go down. :D I'm an experienced vBulletin guy and will make sure that this board not only has all the right doodads and features, but also the controls in place to make sure that it remains easy to use, easy on the eyes, and generally a low-stress place to spend some time on the net. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you stick around awhile.

Glad you put the site up. I found some of the popular 250 message boards to be outdated. This format is similar to what I am used to (ezboard, Yuku). I hope it thrives.

Does not look like there has been anybody here for a week or so.

I do like the layout. I hope it gets a little better (member wise).

It's getting there, but it will take time. We're now up to 50+ human (non search bots) guests per day, and in the past day it's actually closer to 100. Just a month ago that number was less than 10 per day. Glad you like the layout, please post up if there's anything you'd like added that may continue to pull more folks in to ninjette.org.

Well, thanks to some folks from other Ninjette forums who have recently discovered ninjette.org and liked the place, traffic has increased significantly in just the past week, and the board is really off to a great start. 77 new or updated threads in just the past 7 days, so if you haven't been back in awhile, now's as good a time as any to catch up.

Thanks for recommending the site, it definitely has a good feel to it so far. The only problem that I see with the site so far is that the picture in the top left is the wrong color bike. Gotta keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't start making pages load slow or it'll need to be switched out to the quicker of the 250Rs, the green one.

You're in luck, you can make it whatever color you like with a click. Hold your shift key down and press the "refresh" button in your browser's toolbar, and a new pic will be loaded immediately. Check out these two threads for more details:

If you have friends on 250's that you think would enjoy the site, why not send 'em a link? Also, if you're on other motorcycle boards and want to attract folks similar to yourself over here, consider adding a link to ninjette.org in your signature on those boards. Here's the daily user stats from the past month, at this rate we will be celebrating our 100th member in no time!
