So i picked up a nice '04 last spring. Been tinkering with it over the past month since its been to cold to ride. Its mostly finished with just a few nit picky things left to do. I wish I had taken a few more pix than I did... but I will post more as I finish it up.

Stuff done
Replaced the front and rear brakes with EBC pads. Did the 15tooth and 44tooth sprocket change with new chain. Got my sprockets from Rebel Gears based out of Middle TN. I mounted duel headlights on with a Car HID kit. Cut the front fairing so that it looks like something from Excitebike. Replaced the gauge cluster with an Acewell 2853 gauge. Woodcraft lowered risers. Sanded and painted entire exhaust flat black. Took off the rear turn signals and mounted lights in the rear tail light so that its like the euro turn signals.

Plans include to cut black vinyl in the same shape as the decals to cover them and to pain the sides of the front fender satin black. Also I'm waiting for an '09 rear shock to put on and some LED turn signals to put on the front.

Its been fun and can't wait to do more

Hey Andy, I live in Sevierville! Anytime you wanna ride holler at me! I am doing some stuff with my 250 as well. I like the dual headlights on yours. I decided to go with the moose Racing Alien headlight. I am also interested in the Acewell you put on (where'd you get it from, was it hard to install). We should ride this summer.

I like how you cut down the fairings down into radiator shrouds .
Nice fighter style

Wit hthe exception of the tiny part on the gas tank, the decals are removable with a little (ok, a LOT) of patience.

Thanks guys. I'm lucky to have access to my friends shop. The acewell i got on ebay. It was pretty easy to install. Having issues with the tach though. not sure why I keep getting jumpy readings even with the 1ohm resister in place.
Would love to ride with any local people. Me and a few other friends will get together on nice weekend days and tear it up in south knox.

Thats super awesome looking. For the decal on the rad guards and tank just get a new one made the same size to cover that one up and have the words moved back so it says all of Kawasaki or have it say Ninja, I think that would be sweet.

no one. It doesn't need one. Why do you want one?

just thinking maybe they'd flex if pushed hard by a heavy rider

unless you're really racing on a track and pushing the entire bike as far as it will go, you should be fine.
