I am stealing this idea from another board. I have enjoyed what the others had put up and I am sure this bunch could come up with some great things.

So what made me smile today was:

My Photo Frog came out to see me again as I was leaving to go to the store.

I told him to go hibernate and he just looked at me funny... :D (who needs anything else when you can amuse yourself)

It happened just before christmas, but it continues to fill me with happiness each time I think about it, I can still remember each detail as if it happened moments ago ...

The look on my friends face as she unwrapped her surprise xmas present, her face lit up and in both hands she held it to her face and deeply breathed its fragrant smell. She looked like an angel

I've known her for 18mnths and have been trying to win her heart from the moment I met her.

The following day she asked me out for a date and then she left to go see her family for christmas.

I see for the first time since then this coming Monday......
and now I'm petrified! :ohno:

Umm well it was 4 small presents all wrapped up in such a way to make it look like 1 present and the more she unwrapped, the more she found.

But the 1 in question was a little cuddly bear that is filled with wheatgrains and aromatherapy oils. Once popped in the microwave for 2 minutes will keep her warm and cosy for a long time :)

I had to google "Build a Bear" lol that really had me confused :D

As already said, I think you should stick to microwave safe products. Some of the gifts similar to these also recommend having a glass/bowl of water in the microwave too.

You shouldn't have any worries finding them. Have a look around, there's plenty of brands..

I would have gone for a hot hug but they only have a microwaveable tummy pouches that you remove and place in the microwave

So I went for this bear instead which is completely full of wheat grains

http://www.needapresent.com/library/images/shop/xl/1500.jpg

But if you're interested in these, you may well find these cool too. They're the same sorta thing but slippers

http://www.needapresent.com/library/images/shop/xl/1647.jpg

I got these for my mum for Christmas and she absolutely loves 'em when she sits in front of the tv at night. I'm half tempted to get a pair for myself :D

You would think there would be an easy answer to this simple question. Maybe I'm just getting old enough to have a lot of memories so it is harder to pick just one.

Maybe it is watching your daughter get married; holding your grand-daughter for the first time; being at the Family cabin in Estes Park with your family and watching your kids try to catch a chipmunk with cantaloupe seeds, a box, a stick, and a piece of string on the same rock and the same way you did, and your dad did before you; watching your grown children enjoy each others company (yes it will happen) when they don't know you are watching; beating lung cancer and hearing your oncologist say you're still clean, I'll see you in six months; taking your first long ride on your first motorcycle; seeing the tach on your '01 Ninja at 11K in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for the first time and knowing you wont have to clean your britches when you get home.

For right now, until the next great moment comes along maybe it's my family showing me why I'm the luckiest person on this forum when they gave me my birthday present this Christmas -

The premise is that Kelly may get to come to CA for a track day if the job allows. The nice part about this kind of gift is that it does not have an expiration date.

Now as to me being a good boy in 2009 - I may have to work on that.

lol yeah, I'm still excited about it and it's 2 months away. Out of 2 years being married we've only spent about 4 months of it actually together. Since we're both in the military in different branches we were only seeing each others on the weekends if we were lucky. We were best friends before we got married about 2 1/2ish years though so being apart isn't that bad.

BlueTyke
January 31st, 2009, 05:11 PM

I have been thinking about popping the question to him but I am kinda old fashioned and I want him to ask. We have talked (a little) about getting married. He apparently also has a ring in mind but its a very expensive ring and he isn't that rich... so that is the main delay.

What makes me smile. Well, it changes from time to time. Usually, it's my amazing wife. Right now, it's related to her, but not exactly her...

And yes, there's two in that picture!!

Those were just googled pics, though I have taken pics of my camping expeditions there. You can check them out on my facebook if you have facebook. Do you have facebook so that you could facebook me and examine the facebook photo albums on my facebook profile page?
