I rode one of those the other day. Very nice ride, really easy to manuver.

No issues going from the 250 to that.

Nice bike. Rider magazine just published a stellar review on the new 650.

Nice bike! I had a 650 for 6 months, and it was a pretty good all around bike. I like the look of the 2012's more too. Enjoy it!

Hot ride man, I considered going to the 650, but I love the in-line 4's too much.

So jealous. Been looking for the past several weeks at an 09+ 650.

How are you liking it?

Reminds me of Jolly Rancher Apple flavor. My mouth seriously waters when I see this color ninja. I just want to lick the bike. Is that normal? Ahh I am craving a Jolly Rancher right about now.

LOL - yeah, it kinda looks like the color of those candies... just a little more sparkle, though! The 650 is a REALLY NICE bike - I love it! I think I read or watched every review on it - everyone loved it. I haven't had much seat time because I've only had it since Monday, but I'm hoping to get a ride in tomorrow.

Took an hour ride this morning before work... it rides as nice as it looks! It immediately feels like a bigger bike than the 250 - but not a lot bigger. I can also feel the additional weight, which actually makes the bike feel more stable once you adjust to it. It is a very comfortable bike. I'm almost 6ft tall and my legs are long. I never felt cramped on my 250, but this bike does give me a higher level of comfort. I'm still taking it easy... I need to get to know the bike a little more. The break-in rpm limits are 4000 till 500 miles then 6000 till 1000 miles - not as hard to stay within the limits as a 250. I can keep it a little over 50 mph and be under 4000. The main thing I'm aware of is the new tires. Three different people at the dealership cautioned me to be very careful for the first 100 miles when cornering. I put new rubber on my 250 when I got that last year, took it easy for a while and it was fine. It is a fun ride, though. Glad I got that crazy green! Thanks for the well-wishes!

Is that the same green as the 2012 250?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that it is. The delaership had only a red and a black 250. It's close to the traditional Kawasaki green but just a little less bright and it is metallic. The bike attracted a lot of attention on the two short rides I took it on.... hmm not sure I want extra attention, but I picked the color because I like it.

That's exactly why I got my candy lime green. I love the color and hated the traditional Kawasaki green. Well, that's and I got it for 3400 with 11 miles on it.

The tires on this bike are badass, with any tire you gotta break it in for 100 miles. If you can keep the bike under 4k rpms then congrats. I took it to redline under 200 miles, I mean, aren't you curious what it can do? :D

Thanks Crissy! Jiggles, I am beyond curious to see what it can do! I can already tell even at low rpms it's got some juice. I really want to try to break it in the way Kawasaki says, but after that, I am going to find a quiet straightaway and get better acquainted! ;-)

Sat on the 650 and the zx6r today. The 650 felt so much smaller! The narrow seat is awesome. Kind of weird as the 650 is technically the bigger bike.

Congrats Roy!!! Sweet bike and look forward to getting to see it in person!!! Although, it will probably have to be after I get back from deployment... we leave pretty soon.

Yeah, I think the narrowness of the seat definitely helps. It is pretty comfortable.

Dustin, I wish you a safe tour and a quick return. I'll show up at one of the Tech Days in the future and you can check it out then.
