When you get back on a bike (your bike, any bike), make sure it's got a headlight modulator on it. You just won't believe the difference it makes in people (cagers) seeing you and being aware of you.

Yeap. When I see a bike riding with the modulator, it's so annoying. In other words, you get noticed!
