Replacing the OEM front reflector with LED indicators
After looking at the OEM reflectors on the front fairing, I decided they had to go! Now I know what you thinking,
" Hey Ghostt that's not safe, they are there for a very good reason!"
And your right, but I did add the reflective graphics and rim tape, so the bike lights up like a Christmas tree.
Now your thinking "What about the mounting holes?"
Good question, I was just going to put stainless steel allen button heads, and that would have worked.
But then I thought about it, and came up with mounting amber LED flush mount indicators. This would fix a few issues, cover the mounting holes, and added visibly on the side of the bike.
The installation was pretty straight forward, remove OEM reflectors, enlarge the mounting hole, install, and wire up to the existing front turn indicators, and your done.
As always welcome feedback, so what the verdict fellow forum members?
UPDATE 01/21/15
I changed out the smoke for clear, because all other lenses are clear, so now everything matches.
SIDENOTE: If you want to keep the reflectors, and add the benefits of lights I would use these instead,
