Mirror weather guards

I installed a pair of automotive mirror weather guards, which I by accident got the clear instead of the smoked. After looking at them and it's been raining all day, so boredom means modification time. This time I removed the clear mirror shields, painted one side satin black, and covered the other in with genuine imitation carbon fiber wrap with non-visible clear coat applied.

Will have to wait til tomorrow to put them back on, and I'm using 3M extreme hold tape.

Update: the mirror wings are still holding thanks to the 3M tape, they seem to work well, I also added blue tint to the mirrors to cut down on the glare and it works great.

Final verdict: a nice cheap and easy modifications.

to cool, or not to cool, that is the question....

I got a small cooler to mount under the radiator, to fill that empty spot. Well turned out not fitting there, so had to move it up in front of the radiator instead.

Installation was easy, I removed the external oil pressure line, the one located in the front of the engine, going from the lower to the upper part of the engine.

I know the next question " how will I ever know it's doing anything?" Well I'm glad you asked, because I have an oil temperature gauge, that takes to place of the oil fill cap on the clutch cover. I have been keeping an eye on it, and on average it reads 80℃.

I finished in the dark, so I only had time to run it, and check for leaks, which there was none, test ride tomorrow, so I'll know if it does anything functional, and tidy up the installation.

My ride report on the oil cooler, with the ambient temperature pretty much the same as yesterday's, and rode the exact same route, and style....

Rearview camera install

It's modification time, and what is it this time, how about a rearview camera?, ok I can do that.

It's pretty much an easy thing to install, just have to find some switched power, no problem tapped into the license plate light leads.

The hardest part was figuring out where to mount the 3.5" screen, let's face it not a lot of room for much on this bike, and also had to keep it in view the best it could. I finally picked the master cylinder, and using some 3M heavy duty tape, problem solved.

Mounting the camera is easy as well, I know it's not a clean install, but I wanted to make sure I had it all set up right, and more importantly would I like it .

My initial thoughts are it's very cool, and you can definitely see what behind you now. With the bike running the video signal is a little bit jumpy, due to the non-clean/static power of the bike, but it's not too bad. I will let you all know after I've put some miles on it...
