Possible alternative for Factory Pro Blue Magic Shift Spring

i ordered the factory pro spring. man it is stiff! gear shifts take quite a bit of effort! maybe i'll go back to stock or try one on your ideas.

Mad Hornet's flushmount front turn signals /AsianCycle flush-mounts clones

I know this is an old post, but do you have any updates? Are amber bulbs available for the clear lens model if you don't need the parking light filament, or are the sockets pre- wired for that. Thanks and nice work/ review!

    Extra Heavy Bar Ends

Maybe its because I'm so used to single cylinder bikes, and bikes like the hypermotard, but I replaced my bars with clip-ons that weigh like half as much as the stock bars, stick farther out, and don't have any bar weight, and I can't feel any vibration.

Possible alternative for Factory Pro Blue Magic Shift Spring

With the standard shift pattern I had a few false neutrals, but when I switched to a race pattern I had no more mishifts. This may be a free option to some interested.

Kawasaki ZX Ignition Coil Pack modification.

    Supporting the CoPs

    Update:

Some concerns about supporting the CoPs has come up, so I decided to look into this.

The fix is simple, remove the rubber tops from the OEM plug caps, and install them on the CoPs. You will need to remove the small rubber ring on the top of the CoPs, and slide the OEM rubber on, after that your all set.

Why would you want a stiffer shift or lighter shift ?

It makes it just stiff enough to help with false neutral, and more positive shifts, but not too stiff as the Blue Magic Spring.

Makes for a more confident shift, which is sometimes an issue with the PreGen Ninjette.

Kawasaki ZX Ignition Coil Pack modification.

Use the Ninjette plug, but open the gap to 0.31~0.32 to take advantage of the better coils.

So this is amazing! I never knew! Thanks for the write-up!
I've heard that spark plugs are one of the most important design/engineering factors in an engine. Going with a bigger spark, should the corresponding spark plug be used?

Or will the stock spark plug with the correct temperature for the 250 engine and the bigger gap/spark corrode faster than before necessitating more frequent checks?

Oh! I like the oil temp gauge cap... May pick one up myself just for the neatness (and functionality) of it.

    Digital gear indicator

Oh nice! With being new to riding, I find myself wondering if I'm on the last gear when I just got on the freeway and onto the fast lane. A few times I find that I'm on the 5th with one more to go... I know that I should learn to tell what gear I am on by listening to the engine but sometimes it's a challenge to tell when getting accelerating on the freeway going up hill...

Mad Hornet's flushmount front turn signals /AsianCycle flush-mounts clones

    RIDE REPORT

Took is out tonight and they worked perfectly as planned.

They added nice illumination to the sides, even with the front of the bike while in running light mode(white).

In turn signal mode, along with the added flush mounts the're is a lot of amber light now, and the flush mount LEDs light up the sides nicely as well.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the modifications.
