I start bleeding with the master open, standard bleeding procedure. For my final bleed I overfill the master slightly and pump it with the master cover ON. Seems to work great every time.

I roll up to the sensors and hit my front brake pretty hard. For some reason that works on all the lights around town. I'm assuming they are pressure sensors.

You get what you pay for, but the price range sounds average. Ensure the chain is an O ring , X ring etc.
I believe my last chain was about $75, I wouldn't go any cheaper.
