Agreed. Once you get used to it, you might as well not have it at all. I think having one also makes you prone to letting your guard down since you are given a false sense of security.

Understood. If I can't bend the frame back at all, I'll try to at least straighten out the lever to give it as much clearance as possible.

I'm going to try to purchase a used OEM (pregen/newgen) rearset then. I don't think I can bend the whole thing back.
