I have already tried to swivel the release lever...

I have already tried to swivel the release lever 360 degrees and so have the same problem as the original post of it now coming out easily.

Will the above still work or do I need to first re-seat...

Edit - New shock fitted (it wasn't perfect condition - had a small leak) but bike feels so much better/harder now. Thanks for all the help fellow...

By sealed up do you mean it's in good/bad...

By sealed up do you mean it's in good/bad condition or just that there is no way to tell the condition without replacing the shock and seeing if there is an improvement?

Thanks for the question - the only 2 things that have changed are:

1) New clutch cable fitted myself - but can't see how this would be related.

2) Topped up with cheap engine oil 10W40...
