Correct, brass fitting at top/front of left hand carb. Vacuum is constant from there. Do NOT USE any other fitting!

IMHO "kit" parts are totally not necessary....

IMHO "kit" parts are totally not necessary. Original jetting components can be cleaned/reused (related before/after pics provided)

Note EPA caps never removed to enable both cleaning of the involved pilot port(s) ...

nice try, but these BDST38 Mikuni are the originally suppied CV carbs on 900,750 and 600cc (both SS and Monster models) up till '98 or '99 when they went to FI. Both jetting and internal differences...

170 main jets? Seriously way oversized .....especially with jet kit needles set on position #5. Way too much fuel being sucked through these carbs (as owner has confirmed)

you should have a hose from the LH carb brass...

you should have a hose from the LH carb brass "vac fitting" running to the petcock small vac fitting. Is it present?

Otherwise I'd surmise your petcock is clogged up. It DOES happen.

If flow exists, your float...
