Luckily on my Suzuki the nut falls off every few...

Luckily on my Suzuki the nut falls off every few thousand miles (despite the proper torque and red loctite) so I don't have to worry about this.

Lucky you! I bought mine at the end of winter, parked it outside my house on the frozen ground in the sun, and later came home to find it sleeping in a big mud puddle. :D

but I went riding dirt on it last month and cracked the gas tank where it mounts to the frame 30+ miles from the nearest gas station. I'd rather not do that again.
