you could try cutting the springs and making a "preload" spacer to take up the amount you cut off the spring. That is what i am going to toy around with on my spare set of springs.

I would like some info on clipons. I really just need some bar ends, but cant find any the right size. I currently have kitaco. Normal 7/8th bar ends will not fit inside.
