Make sure one of the exhaust mufflers are not hitting the swingarm causing the sqeak. If it was a 2-up bike the mounts could have been bent in a little.

I just put the socket at the back of the hole and locked the bulb in through the front and it holds very good no need to get the kit unless you want amber or clear lenses.
