The washers often stick to the cover, 3 of mine did.

To get mine off I remove these...

- Coolant res
- R coil
- R upper Engine Mount
- Cooling hose from the head the the thermo
- Little tab...

The adjustment for almost all aftermarket levers, shorty or standard, changes the position of the lever only when it is at rest, so it changes the reach to the lever but not the pull once you start...

I agree. Seeing others go down (some for good) should remind you to be safe. Always riding as though the other cars can/will ruin your day quickly is a good attitude, but riding scared and waiting...

I don't think its the pilot screw (fuel screw as he said) The caps are still in place so it has probably never been touched.

I bet its the bowl o-ring. Fuel is just collecting on the screw...

I don't think he plans on long term operation with "cheap car oil". Just drain and refill now, then drain and replace with better stuff after the winter. Cheap stuff is fine for this.
