If the idle is hanging the carb is out of sync. I would sync first and re adjusting the pilot screw just like Ducatiman mentioned.

If the carb is already out you might want to install a Dynojet...

Totally agree, a bike is a bike. Ive had 600's to Superbikes...all came and went but the 250 is still with me. I will definitely get a bigger bike again later but will always keep the lightweight...

The carburetor might be out of sync assuming that your carbs are clean and your valves are in spec. Also, you might want to check for vacuum leaks by spraying water after the engine is warmed up....

My 250 looked like that when it was leaking oil. The motion pro fixed the leak after a few try's it took only a few minutes. Once in a while I'll clean the area where the seal meets the fork.
