Did you get in L1 or L2? L2 would be very difficult on a 250, like TWS. I race them and probably wouldn't run L2 -- that uphill 100' would be a killer.

About 1/3 to 1/2 of us down here run sliders. Lots of pros and cons, they have saved us a few times. YMMV.

That being said, I'd rather have brake lines than sliders, or an exhaust, shock, etc....

I use Engine Ice or Liquid Performance in the street bike, which stays outside during the winter. Water Wetter with water in the track bikes, they stay in heated areas during the winter.

I just have some safety wire with a loop in the end to grab (comes out by the fairing hole). Grab with left hand, full choke, hold/modulate for about 15-30 seconds, good to go.

Watch our schedule, I know it is a drive, but the absolute best 250 track we do is Cresson 1.3. The 1.7 isn't bad, but the 1.3 is a blast.
