ZRX twists and turns

So, the ZRX has taken some interesting and frustrating twists along the way... apparently there was some white silt that wasn't completely cleaned out of the tank (even after a week of prep, and gas...

Getting there

Been riding my resurrected ZRX with reworked stock carbs, etc.
I still need to sync the carbs, and adjust the valves, and apparently richen my pilot jets (or take a few discs out of my Supertrapp),...

Maverick - I see you are in Augusta...
My parents were from Augusta, and I still have lots of kin there, including a sister in Aiken... man, it gets hot & humid there, almost like Houston. A guy...

ZRX stuff, ATGATT

Thank goodness for ATGATT - I survived my fall with a separated shoulder, but would've been in pretty bad shape without the gear - my boot was worn through, my glove was worn through, my cordura...

Very nice looking bike - I haven't seen the (Holeshot) exhaust painted like that before. And the engine covers, even. Very nice.

Nice ride

We managed to get three bikes on the road at once, and rode through Clinton, NY to Waterville, where we had a great lunch at Roc Star, then found some minor twisties on hwy 315.

I managed to miss...

First real ride of ZRX

Success: :dancecool: I managed to get the ZRX out for a rather spirited ride this afternoon, with my Son tagging along with the 250, just in case.

Probably still some minor tuning to do, but it...

Hoping to ride today

I discovered that I could temporarily steal the brake lever from my boys' GW250 to fit the ZRX (which surprised me). I've already installed the new turn signal lens, so I'm ready to get back out on...

Crashed ZRX

I hope you didn’t sustain as much damage as your bike...

My only on-street accident was with this bike.
I bought it used from a guy in Chicago when I lived in San Diego.
On the second day riding...

Angry Good news, bad news

Finally! I got my ZRX running and took it for a 15 minute ride, which went very well, aside from popping on deceleration, fading rear brakes, and throttle cables that still need some adjusting... ...

"So 13-yrs ago at Willow Springs.. We probably cross paths back then"

Probably more like 16-18 years, but we may well have. My RC-51 was a 2000, if I remember correctly (really, really nice bike,...

Old-timer newbie

After some 13 years of medical issues and bikes sitting idle, I’m in the process of getting back in the saddle again.

I’m resurrecting two big bikes, a 1999 Kawi ZRX1100 that didn’t run well...
