I finally got the old battery out and I was shocked to find the original Kawi factory battery date stamped 29022012. Tested at 76 cranking amps, 12.5v. Put the new battery on and it solved that...

I've been through the wiring and didn't find any shorted. The only thing I find weird is that the red wire is only supplying 6-7 volts DC while it's running. I still need to do some tracing on that...

That is cool, I didn't know know that either. I've fixed plastics like car bumpers with the heated metal wires before, never anything like that. Reminds me of fiberglass without the itch.

I just acquired a Ninja with melted wires where the headlight relay used to be. I've searched but can't find just that set of wires, only entire wiring harnesses. If you got one thats already cut up...
