This Ninja is killing me.
So The valves are all happy now. Some of the clearances were near zero to begin with.
Got the top of the motor back on, and the radiator installed. Decided to leave off the California emissions...

I thoroughly dislike doing this job. Just had to say that.
The valves were out of adjustment. Worse it seems they weren't even the same from side to side as well as the inside and outside...

It was weird, all the ports flowed cleaner freely. or seemed to at least.
Working on reassembly and reinstall. just too cold and dark at the moment.

PO has installed wrong screws and made the hole top right.
Get yourself a 6mm set screw and some gaska-cinch or other fuel resistant glue. There are many out there. Hopefully you have a 6mm tap as...

The jets from the original carbs are 105 and 38. The borrowed carb are 98 and 38.
The floats are set, measured and verified wet test.
The CA. system is unplugged. The tank is temporarily replaced...
