Depends on your helmet. I wear a bandanna wrapped around my face, under the chin strap, tucked into the top of my jacket. I tried balaclavas and the like, but they make my visor fog up.

I'm running 15F/42R as well and my pre-gen does a 40+ mile commute each way every day on the freeway. My pre-gen cruises along at 70-80 mph with the RPM's between 9k & 10k no problem.
