ah. I see. So she probably just had liability coverage which doesn't cover damage to your car. A lot of people only carry liability on older cars. That makes more sense then.

Hmmm. Things may be different in your state. But here, if you have full coverage, which is collision and comprehensive, then a hit and run is covered under the collision portion of your insurance...
