Swap tumblers
Instead of buying a new lockset , Swap tumbers - Pretty easy . I've done it a couple of times to make the gascap seatlock and ignition all match . Blank keys were $4 from my dealer . If you can...

I'm with him . That stem looks like it was beat...
I'm with him . That stem looks like it was beat on. Shouldn't it be perfectly square shouldered to fit under the upper tree??
BTW I think I see your point though , I had the same problem on another...

OK , nevermind . Got it, I've got plenty of scrap weldable steel so I made a whole new fairing headlight cluster mount . Fairly simple really , duplicated the two curved structures with solid rod...

Got me thinking , took it apart again and tried to put back together backwards YOU are correct , it fits only one way . The fins are offset from center - life is good...

Carb Slide Orientation
Hey folks just rebuilt my carbs and like a dummy I took apart both carbs to clean . Sooo........ Where's the vent hole go under the slide - does it face the aircleaner side or the engine side ?...
