Hey, thanks for everyone that helped, my issue was with the clutch cable as I expected....it was shredding from the top near the clutch lever. Replaced the cable and I am all set.

All gas is fine. If the bike is to sit for long without being ridden, I recommend supreme fuel, my preference is Shell V-Power. No ethanol conversion keeps the fuel from degrading in to gunk.

I did the oil change after the problem started...

I did the oil change after the problem started hoping the new oil will fix the issue....and it was time anyways. The oil was fine, just the usual dirt and grime...as to lubricating the shifter...
