Thanks for the response. I assume it's 1.5" at the wheel and hopefully not 1.5" diffrence in shock length.

The shock is ride height adjustable. So wondering if there is enough adjust-ability...

Yes, 8mm bolts. I doubt any off the shelf clamps can be used with the stock bolt holes due the angle they are at. You could have custom risers made, but that won't be cheap at all.

In my opinion it's not worth the cost for street riding. The suspension is no better on the new gen.

For track riding, I think it's worth the trouble to get the 17" wheels and the awesome race...

That's the main jet hole and the (jet )needle is supposed to be there and very important.
